Quick, easy access to excellent breast care in Langhorne

Our expert breast radiologists and certified mammography technicians can provide you with the best care possible. Our 3D mammography technology creates highly accurate three-dimensional views of the breast. Even in dense breast tissue, these images can pinpoint the size, shape, and location of any abnormalities.

Screening mammograms can often detect cancer before you can see or feel it. If you haven’t received your annual mammogram yet, appointments are usually available within 24 hours at St. Mary Breast Center.

If you need a primary care physician’s referral for a mammogram, it’s easy to schedule your appointment online.

What to expect from your surgical consultation

During your first visit with our surgeons, our team will understand the size, location, and characteristics of the lump or suspicious area in your breast. Our surgeons will discuss the breast biopsy options that provide our team with a tissue sample to test for breast cancer.

Following the biopsy, our team will discuss treatments and potential surgical options with you. We work with you to create a surgical plan that reflects your preferences and will provide the best possible health outcomes. We strive to preserve breasts while giving you the personalized care and treatment that you need.

If your suspicious finding isn’t cancerous, our team will work with you to treat symptoms such as lumps or nipple discharge that may be embarrassing or uncomfortable.

Breast cancer surgery options

Advanced techniques and the latest, cutting-edge technologies are used to remove breast tissue with precision and minimal scarring:

Lumpectomy

A lumpectomy is a surgical procedure that removes only the cancerous tumor or abnormal tissue along with a small amount of healthy tissue around the area. These procedures often conserve most of the breast. They are often recommended for patients with early-stage breast cancer.

Mastectomy

A mastectomy is breast cancer surgery that removes the entire breast. Some surgical options may spare the skin and nipples while removing the breast tissue underneath them. Our cancer team can coordinate with our breast reconstruction surgeons to help restore your breast’s appearance.

Our experienced surgeons can discuss the potential options. Call 215.710.4130 for a breast cancer surgery consultation.
