In 2010, more than 65,000 children and adults received urgent medical care from St. Mary Emergency Services and Trauma Center. To meet increasing demand for these services, St. Mary expanded emergency services to include 24/7 pediatric emergency care -- the first and only Pediatric Emergency Care Center of its kind in Bucks County.
St. Mary utilizes fast response protocols to treat stroke and is a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Care Center and has a door-to-balloon time for emergency angioplasty to treat heart attacks that is among the quickest in national standards.
The Emergency Department and Trauma Center handle a wide range of illnesses and injuries ranging from cuts and broken bones, to acute stroke, heart attacks and motor-vehicle accident victims.
Specialized teams are prepared to respond immediately to traumas, strokes and heart attacks, with around-the-clock access to surgery, digital X-ray, CT and other emergency services.
