David DeFilippis

David DeFilippis

Dr. David DeFilippis received his medical degree from Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, D.C. He completed his post-graduate training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. DeFilippis also is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has served on the Georgetown University Medical School Admission Committee and as a member of the Thomas Jefferson University Perinatal Collaborative Research Committee. Drexel University School of Medicine named him Outstanding Clinical Instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology the past two years. In addition, Dr. DeFilippis received an award for Outstanding Teaching in a Clinical Setting for Junior and Senior Medical Students, as well as the Elizabeth Labovitz Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching, from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He also has served in numerous hospital administrative positions, including former Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Frankford Hospitals, and as a member of the Outpatient Board of Directors at Holy Redeemer Hospital.
