Dr. David DeFilippis received his medical degree from Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, D.C. He completed his post-graduate training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. DeFilippis is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has served on the Georgetown University Medical School Admission Committee and as a member of the Thomas Jefferson University Perinatal Collaborative Research Committee. Dr. DeFilippis received an award for Outstanding Teaching in a Clinical Setting for Junior and Senior Medical Students, as well as the Elizabeth Labovitz Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching, from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He also has served in numerous hospital administrative positions, including former Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Frankford Hospitals, and as a member of the Outpatient Board of Directors at Holy Redeemer Hospital. He is currently Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN and serves on the Medical Executive Committee. He has a partial interest in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Robotic Gynecological Surgery.
