Recruitment Tips

At St. Mary Medical Center, we want to attract the best candidates possible.  We are passionate, enthusiastic, and committed.  Please use these helpful hints below as a guide in applying for one of our open positions.

Resume Writing

  • Make sure your resume is specific to the job in which you are applying
  • Attach a cover letter, or an objective statement that summarizes your qualifications and strengths.  Make sure your cover letter identifies the position in which you are applying.  If you are using a standard cover letter, be sure to edit it to make it relevant to the position in which you will be interviewing.
  • Be as specific as possible in regards to dates of employment and position titles.  Be sure to include relevant experience from each of your previous positions.
  • Do not include personal information i.e. hobbies, religious beliefs, political beliefs, DOB etc.
  • Use a professional email address, preferably a form of your name
  • Have someone proofread your resume, do not rely on spell check
  • Use standard font
