A thigh lift removes excess skin (and in some cases, fat) from the thighs, resulting in a smoother shape and contours for the thighs and lower body. You may want to look into a thigh lift if weight loss and regular exercise have not helped you achieve your aesthetic goals. A thigh lift may be performed in conjunction with liposuction or other body lifts.

How is the thigh lift procedure done? After you receive anesthesia, an incision is made based on the area(s) to be treated, degree of correction, and patient preference. Incisions may be extensive; however, If your condition allows, the may perform a minimal incision near the groin. The underlying tissue matrix is tightened and reshaped, excess skin is reduced and redraped, and the incision is stitched.

What is thigh lift recovery like? After thigh lift surgery, dressings or bandages will be applied to your incisions. You may also be wrapped in an elastic bandage or a compression garment to reduce swelling and support your new contours while they heal. Small, thin tubes may be temporarily placed under the skin to drain any excess fluid. You will receive instructions on how to care for your surgical sites following surgery, what medicines to take, and what specific things to look for at the surgical site or in your general health.

What results can I expect from the thigh lift procedure? Although thigh lift results are generally good, there are no guarantees. Swelling and/or bruising may hide the results immediately after thigh lift surgery, but you’ll be able to see them very soon after the procedure. And provided you have no major weight changes, the results should be relatively permanent. Some visible scars will remain, but skin quality will be drastically improved.

Arm lift surgery is designed to reduce excess fat, remove drooping skin, and tighten the tissue that helps shape the inner arm. Age, heredity, or weight fluctuations can cause this sagging skin, and no amount of exercise can correct the condition.

How is the arm lift procedure done? After you receive anesthesia, an incision is made along the back of your upper arm or the inside of your upper arm. If your condition allows, he may perform a minimal incision beneath the underarm. Fat is removed either directly or via liposuction. The underlying tissue is strengthened, and the incision is stitched.

You spend so much time caring for your family. Why not spend a little time caring for yourself? A “Mommy Makeover” is a service or customized combination of services that helps you return to your pre-pregnancy appearance.

What services are usually included? You can tailor your makeover to include whatever services you’d like. Most common procedures performed are tummy tuck, breast lift and/or breast augmentation, and cosmetic skin procedures.

Liposuction may not be a substitute for a healthy diet and regular exercise, but it can remove excess fat deposits in specific areas of the body. Liposuction can be performed in combination with other cosmetic surgery procedures such as a facelift, tummy tuck, or breast reduction.

How does the liposuction procedure work? You’ll be given anesthesia (either via sedation, local anesthesia, or general anesthesia). Small incisions are made using a “cannula,” or long, thin tube. Using a controlled back-and-forth motion, he’ll dislodge the fat and then suction it out. Swelling and fluid retention are common after the procedure, but they will subside in time.

What sort of risks are associated with liposuction? All medical procedures have risks, and liposuction is no exception. Your certified plastic surgeon will review all those risks and potential complications with you, but ultimately only you can decide if you want to pursue the procedure.

How long will it be until I can really see the results? It may be several months before the swelling goes down entirely and you can see your new shape.

Many of us would like a firmer, flatter abdomen. Sometimes, though, diet and exercise simply don’t help enough. Age, pregnancy, significant weight loss, or even heredity can weaken the muscles of the abdominal and cause a protruding stomach. Abdominoplasty is a surgical solution to this problem. It removes excess fat and skin as well as restoring weakened muscles. The result? A smoother, firmer abdomen.

What happens in “tummy tuck” surgery? First, you will be anesthetized using sedation or general anesthesia. Then, a horizontal incision is made between your pubic hairline and your belly button. The doctor will lift the abdominal skin and surgically repair the weakened muscle beneath. The skin from the upper abdomen is pulled down like a window shade. After trimming off the excess skin, a new opening for the belly button is created and suture the remaining skin back together.

What’s the recovery from tummy tuck surgery like? After abdominoplasty surgery, dressings or bandages will be applied to your incisions. You may also be wrapped in an elastic bandage or a compression garment to reduce swelling and support the abdomen while it heals. Small, thin tubes may be temporarily placed under the skin to drain any excess fluid. You will receive instructions on how to care for your surgical site(s) following surgery, what medicines to take, and what specific things to look for at the surgical site or in your general health. You may not see the full results of your tummy tuck for several weeks, as you won’t be able to stand fully upright until the internal healing is complete.
