Children's Health Center

 
At the Children's Health Center, we pay attention to the small details!

St. Mary Children’s Health Center provides primary healthcare services for children newborn to age 18. This includes well visits, sick visits, and follow-up care.

The healing ministry of St. Mary Medical Center at the Children’s Health Center is to provide quality healthcare to all eligible children in our service area. Our staff of caring professionals wants to help keep your children healthy. Health maintenance or well-child visits are routinely done at the following ages: newborn, 1 month, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 24 months; 3, 4, 5 years; then annually up to 18 years of age.

Health maintenance visits typically consist of a comprehensive physical and developmental exam, including vision and hearing screenings, and routine laboratory testing.

Well-baby visits include physical and developmental exams, screenings and immunizations

On-call service for emergencies is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

Our Dedicated Staff

Pediatric nurse practitioners perform well-child physical examinations, screenings, and health immunizations with the assistance of licensed practical nurses. Nurse practitioners also treat minor acute illnesses and help manage chronic conditions.

Pediatricians are available for consultation.

A social worker is available on site to provide needed social services. Home visits by a social worker can also be arranged.

The St. Mary Children’s Health Center is conveniently located in the Bensalem Square Shopping Center, 2546 Knights Road, Bensalem.
The Center has regularly scheduled hours:

Monday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

St. Mary Children’s Health Center accepts the following insurances:

Free Care for qualified familes

Insurance applications and assistance in completing insurance claim forms are available. If your child is not currently covered by insurance, staff at the St. Mary Children’s Health Center can help with arranging options for health insurance coverage. Please contact our office at 215-245-8873 for more information.

Support services are available through the Center. St. Mary-sponsored Family Resource Center and Mother Bachmann Maternity Center are located within the same Bensalem shopping center as the Children’s Health Center. Families can be referred to hospital programs and services at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, as well as to community agencies throughout Bucks County and the Philadelphia area.

WIC

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) has an office on site in the St. Mary Children’s Health Center. The phone number for WIC is 215-244-2674. WIC is a federally funded program that provides supplemental food vouchers, as well as nutritional information and education to children until age 5. Women who are pregnant or have recently given birth are also eligible for the program.
