The Holistic Center

The St. Mary Holistic Center is the area’s first hospital-based holistic services department dedicated to promoting the understanding that healing is a journey that encompasses body, mind and spirit.  In this balanced approach, various services such as massage therapy, mind-body techniques, and lifestyle enrichment classes are offered as companions; key components that help a person cope more effectively and heal more completely. In addition to quality medical care, holistic services are a wonderful support when facing the challenges of a serious diagnosis; addressing the symptoms and stress of a chronic health condition; or dealing with the pressures of an overly demanding lifestyle.

Holistic services are infused with a spiritual foundation that encourages peacefulness and deep relaxation. As a Catholic health care institution, we believe in and promote a level of care that respects the mind, supports the body, and honors the spirit, holding dear to our Catholic values. We take care in assuring that all of our services share in this foundational philosophy. While holistic services may be considered less conventional than standard medical care, we believe their benefits are not undermining to our beliefs, yet rather they are therapeutic, loving and compassionate.
