Trauma Prevention and Education Programs

Trauma Prevention and Education Programs

In addition to treating injuries from trauma, St. Mary Regional Trauma Center is committed to preventing injures in our community.  Our Trauma Prevention Coordinator reviews the trends seen in the trauma center, utilizing the trauma registry and develops programs to try to prevent those injuries from occurring.  The trauma team partners with many other hospital departments and additional community agencies to implement injury prevention programs on a local and state level.  Programs are designed to address various age groups including our children, adolescents, adults and older adults.

Topics Include:

  • Pediatric Injury Prevention in partnership with Bucks County SAFE KIDS including car seat safety, home safety, bike safety, poison prevention, playground safety and sports injury prevention

  • Distracted Driving Initiative
  • Seatbelt Safety
  • Concussion/Mild TBI Initiative
  • Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falls for older adults

If you are interested in more information regarding any of the programs listed, please call St. Mary Regional Trauma Center, Trauma Prevention Coordinator at 215-710-2350 or
