HEARTBEAT MILESTONES

  • St. Mary was the first to bring open-heart surgery  to Bucks County and performs among the greatest number of open-heart surgeries in the region
  • Nearly 400 open-heart procedures are done annually, with upwards of 80 percent of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)  procedures done off pump – without the use of the heart-lung machine
  • To date, nearly 35,000 procedures (nearly 4,000 procedures annually) have been performed in the cath labs, making the St. Mary cardiovascular team one of the region's most experienced
  • More than 1500 procedures are performed annually in the electrophysiology labs
