Meet Our Staff
|
Joann Dorr RN,
CPE As the Program Coordinator, Joann has
enjoyed working with KidShape families for the last six years encouraging
current students and KidShape graduates to make healthier lifestyle
changes for their families. Joann, a registered nurse, is a graduate of
Northeastern Hospital School of Nursing. She has had more than 25
years of clinical and community nursing experience. She also is a
certified parenting educator at the St. Mary Parenting Center, working
with families in the community for nine years on various topics and stages
of parenting. |

Shara Aaron, MS,
RD Shara is a Registered Dietitian at
KidShape, working with students and families on healthier eating
habits. Shara received a bachelor’s degree in human biology from the
University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in nutrition communications
from Tufts University, and her dietetic internship certificate from the
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Shara is
co-owner of NutCom, LLC Nutrition Communications; writes for several
publications; and has two published books, Chocolate – A Healthy Passion
(Prometheus) and The Baby Fat Diet (Penguin). Shara also is a
certified group fitness instructor and serves as co-editor of the New
Jersey Dietetic Association newsletter.

Lauren
Garber, BS Lauren is a Physical Activity Instructor at
KidShape. She graduated from Wesley College in 2005 with a bachelor’s
degree in physical education. She currently works as an elementary
health and physical education teacher in the Philadelphia School
District. |

Christine
Kerchak, MSW, CPE Christine is the Group Discussion
Facilitator on the KidShape team. She graduated from LaSalle University
with a bachelor’s degree. Christine earned a master’s degree in education
with an emphasis on early childhood intervention at Temple University. She
is a certified elementary and special education teacher.
Christine is currently a certified Parenting Educator with St. Mary
Medical Center. |

Jill Kwasny, MS, RD,
CDE Jill is a Registered Dietitian at KidShape, where
she teaches the importance of good nutrition and correct portion size to
children and their families. Jill received a bachelor’s degree in
dietetics from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in human
nutrition from Drexel University. She is a certified diabetes
educator. Jill worked in clinical dietetics and ran hospital- based,
weight-management programs before starting a private practice in
1990. She currently is a consultant to healthcare facilities and
grocery stores, and works with individuals and groups to address their
nutrition needs.

Donna
Lombardo, BS Donna has been working as a Physical
Activity Instructor for KidShape since the first class in 2005. Donna
earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology (exercise science and health)
and physical education teaching certification from West Chester
University. She has worked as a fitness specialist at the St. Mary
Wellness Center and currently teaches health and physical education in the
Trenton Public School District. |

Wayne Lutteroty Jr,
BS Wayne is a Physical Activity Instructor with
KidShape, emphasizing positive reinforcement through a balanced assortment
of activities that focus on well-being and the importance of lifelong
fitness. Wayne received a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a
minor in health science from West Chester University. He works for both
the Neshaminy and Pennsbury School Districts and serves as head baseball
coach, assistant basketball coach, and assistant football coach for Carl
Sandburg Middle School.

Charla
Mervis, BS, RD Charla, a Registered Dietitian, has been
a member of the KidShape staff since its inception at St. Mary. She
received a bachelor’s degree in nutrition sciences at Pennsylvania State
University and completed a dietetic internship through Penn State with a
clinical rotation at the Hershey Medical Center. Charla began her career
at St. Mary Medical Center in 2004 as an inpatient and outpatient
dietitian. She currently works for the Philadelphia School District
providing nutrition education to students. |

Todd O’Neill,
BS Todd is a Physical Activity Instructor with
KidShape, introducing games and activities to students to do by themselves
or with their families. These activities, which usually require
little or no equipment, keeps students active for at least 60 minutes a
day. Todd is a graduate of West Chester University with a bachelor's
degree in kinesiology and K-12 health and physical education teaching
certification. Todd works as a substitute teacher for the Neshaminy
School District, as a fitness specialist in the St. Mary Wellness Center,
and as a basketball referee for Metropolitan Sports Services.
