About KidShape

The KidShape Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to building healthy families. KidShape provides training, materials, curriculum updates, and technical support to organizations implementing KidShape programs.

KidShape supports parents who want to make healthy lifestyle changes for their families.  Many parents need assistance to help their children lose weight and be healthy. Obese children can face health problems that had been seen primarily in adults, including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. And many children can suffer from depression, low self-esteem, and isolation after being teased because of their weight. KidShape can help!

KidShape teaches the entire family how to eat nutritiously, make exercise a fun part of the daily routine, form new healthy habits, and promote a positive self-image, regardless of size. The program is designed for families with children, ages 6 to14.  A team of health experts, including a registered dietitian, mental health professional, physical activity expert, and health educator, administers each program.

The family-based KidShape programs incorporate hands-on activities to empower youth and adults to eat healthier, move more, and feel good.
