We pride ourselves on cleanliness. Patient rooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for new arrivals. In addition, patient rooms are cleaned daily. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make you more comfortable, such as bringing you an extra pillow or blanket.
To focus on your health needs, we appreciate family members and visitors doing their part to help keep the room clean by disposing of trash properly. Keeping a clear path from the door to your bed is especially important in case you should need help quickly.
Our environmental services staff performs the following daily:
- Clean bathroom
- Mop floor
- Wipe bedside tables
- Remove trash
Your bed is completely electric. Control buttons to adjust the bed are located on the side rails or the foot of the bed. The controls will move the head or the foot of the bed up and down.
Nurse Call Light:
Your nurse call light is located on the side rail of your bed or a hand-held control clipped to your bed in a convenient location. Upon admission to your room, a staff member will demonstrate how to call for assistance.
Emergency Call Light:
An emergency call light is located in the bathroom for convenience if you need assistance.
Bed linens will be changed every day or more often, if needed. Your nursing team will assess the need for additional linen changes. For your comfort, we will straighten your bed and provide the necessary linens for you.
You will be offer a sponge bath daily, usually in the morning. Showers and bathtubs are available for patients who feel well enough to use them.
All patient rooms and waiting rooms have telephones available. There is no charge for local telephone service. Please tell your family and friends they may dial your room directly. Cell phones may be used in various locations throughout the hospital. Because cell phones may interfere with medical equipment used for our patients, restricted areas will have signs posted accordingly.
