| Nurses in NICU tend infants needing special care |
|
Established in 1989, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Mary Medical Center was the first of its kind in Bucks County.
Our state-of-the-art NICU is staffed by board-certified neonatologists (physicians specially trained in high-risk newborn care) and nurses fully trained in neonatal medicine, including neonatal CPR. They provide the vital care so essential to children with special medical needs and are available to answer your questions every step of the way, helping to share in the joy of your baby's progress.
Our NICU provides specialized care for infants born prematurely or with significant medical problems in a convenient close-to-home setting. Specialized technology, such as high-frequency ventilators, are among the components of the quality care provided at the St. Mary NICU.
