Additional Programs

No One Dies Alone

St. Mary Medical Center’s commitment to quality care includes our No One Dies Alone (NODA) program. This is the service provided by specially trained volunteers called Comfort Companions who are able to sit with patients who have no one to visit with them or whose family needs respite for several hours to leave and take care of personal business. These volunteers can be with a patient for several few hours or around the clock. To arrange for a Comfort Companion, please call the volunteer office at 215.710.2097.

Bereavement Program

Trained and certified chaplains and Bereavement Counselors conduct six-week programs in the fall, winter, and spring) to assist those members of our community who are suffering grief from a recent loss. These programs are conducted simultaneously on Monday evenings and Wednesday afternoons. They are held in the Spiritual Care Department Conference Room. All are welcome. No registration required.
