Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q. Why do I have to attend all 5 classes for diabetes education?

A. There is a lot of information about how to manage diabetes, too much to fit into one class. It is important to learn as much as you can about taking care of yourself when you have diabetes.

Q. May I bring a support person with me to class?

A. Yes, please do.

Q. What do I need to bring to class?

A. We provide books and handouts as needed. You only need to bring a pen and reading glasses, if you use them. Please bring all course materials provided with you to each remaining class. We also ask that you bring your completed Health Assessment Form (which was mailed to you at registration) to the first class session.

Q. What happens if I miss a class?

A. Either call our office (215-710-5812) and reschedule or tell the instructor and she will arrange for a make-up class.

Q. What happens if the classes are cancelled due to bad weather?

A. We will call to notify you if classes are cancelled. Just check your messages if you suspect the class might be cancelled.
